Music is one of the necessities of life. Everyone we know
has music in their life in some way or another, we all sing songs. Some like to
sing to them self and some like to sing to other people. Making music is one of
the most joyous things to do and it is the one truly global language that
speaks to hearts and minds directly. Despite the joys of music, very few of us
really take an active interest in making music, I wonder how that is? Because there
is no other release better than music and making music is truly one of the
finer points to living in this bleak life which continues to get darker and
gloomier every passing day. Everyone should make some music in some way or
another.
Research has also pointed out to us often about the
advantages of music. Despite the wide variety of taste that people have in
music, it helps enhance people’s moods. Music speaks in ways that words can’t
and people with emotional distress or imbalances also benefit a lot from
listening to music. Besides that music has also always been known to improve
focus, it works differently for different people and a lot of research has also
revealed a lot. Generalizing the effect of music on the brain we can say music
helps boost better mental health but that is only part of what music does. Specific
kinds of music have been used in different kinds of patient rehabilitation and
most of the results from such experiments are also in tandem with the theory
that music has therapeutic effects too.
Music is also widely acknowledged as the door to a higher consciousness.
A lot has been said about the spiritual effects of music and even religion has
a lot of powerful music imbibed in it since its creation. In fact many ancient
systems point out that music is the first language of humanity itself. Spiritually
music has always guided people to look inwards to find all answers. Music transcends
barriers of race, religion and region as it brings people together from a deep
connection which most of us are unaware of and unsure of.
All of humanity should be making some music of their own. Although
this notion may sound absurd to people who have never given music a chance I
lay down this challenge to anyone to try and make music and not end up liking
it. Everyone can make music, everyone should make music, and there are few
things in life that are worth as much. It
is one of the necessities of life itself and if I were ever asked about the
basic necessities of man today I would say that its food, shelter, clothing and
music.
Music is all around us, the metronome of a leaky tap, the singing of a bird lost in the city jungles, the complex roar of a car engine or even the wind when it manages to blow hard enough to reach our ears, it’s all music. So the next time you hear the voice from inside you, make sure you try and listen to it, it may just be the most amazing thing that you have heard of in your life before. Strange as it may sound, music has always been inside of us, speaking to us in divine tones, guiding us and showing us the way.

ReplyDeleteVery true. music & rhythm are & have been one of the ingredients of our body & soul. With no prior training, how is it then possible for anyone to grasp the beat & repeat it with their hands or feet. Not only hearing but all the senses should be used proactively providing them satisfaction for harmony in the body.
