I cannot stress the importance of books enough. Books are a treasure, one of the greatest inventions of man despite the computers and the airplanes. A book can really take you where no man has been, it is the perfect travel companion as hours melt away in its presence. It is a joy to be able to read books and to be able to travel through space and time within the pages of a story.
Carrying on with the series of must read books, here are three books that are very easy to read and have a unique story to tell.

The Godfather: The Godfather by Mario Puzo is a timeless classic now and is a fine example of vivid storytelling. The story unfolds beautifully and the simplicity of it all has always been its strong points. This is a book that anyone can read and everyone should read; the neutral narration leaves for the readers to really decide a lot of things. An intense tale of a mafia family, this is among the first great stories written about organized crime.

100 years of solitude: Gabriel Garcia Marquez’s 100 years of solitude is among the best works of fiction that you will come across. A realistic and a simple story that everyone should make an effort to read at least once. This story brings together the spiritual, the political and the emotional aspects of storytelling and puts it all into a whole new dimension. A work of literature that has a lot to say about the human race and its nature, it is a gem of a book that has fortunately been read by a lot of people around the world. If you haven’t then you should read it.
A Clockwork Orange: A Clockwork Orange is a nightmarish story about a future world which is held in peril by crime. The story wonderfully explores the violent side of human beings and the value of free will. The main character of the story is a violent teen that is forced into an experimental corrections program which has some rather unexpected outcomes.
